Zulum Commissions Dikwa Digital Literacy Centre In Borno

In a significant milestone for digital transformation in Borno State, the Dikwa Digital Literacy Centre was officially commissioned by His Excellency, Engr. Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum, Executive Governor of Borno State today Sunday 9th February 2025

The governor was accompanied by an array of distinguished guests, including Former Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Amb. Babagana Kingibe; Deputy National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Ali Bukar Dalori; three senators; and all members of the National Assembly.

During the commissioning ceremony, Governor Zulum commended the efforts of the Borno State Information and Communication Technology Development Agency (BICTDA) for its commitment to the state government’s digital transformation initiatives He urged the agency to expand the centre, assuring that the government would provide maximum support.

Earlier, the Executive Secretary of BICTDA welcomed the governor and his entourage, pledging the agency’s commitment to achieving the set objectives of digital transformation in Borno. He also urged the stakeholders of the communities, particularly the representatives of the areas, including senators, representatives, and state Assembly members, to support the laudable achievements of His Excellency for sustainability.

The commissioning of the Dikwa Digital Literacy Centre marks a significant step towards enhancing digital literacy and promoting economic growth in Borno State. With the support of the state government and stakeholders, the centre is poised to play a vital role in bridging the digital divide and empowering citizens with the skills needed to thrive in the digital age.
