Young Thug released, sentenced to 15 years of probation

Famous American rapper, Jeffrey Williams widely known as Young Thug, has been released from prison after accepting a plea deal in his racketeering trial.

Gistreel recalls that Young Thug was arrested and imprisoned in May 2022 on racketeering and gang-related charges, alongside several affiliates of his record label, YSL Records.

According to The New York Times, Young Thug was released on Thursday after accepting a plea deal in his racketeering case.

As part of his sentence, Young Thug will serve 15 years probation, including 100 hours of community service and four annual anti-gang presentations to children.

According to Judge Paige White, Young Thug’s sentence could be reduced if he successfully fulfills the court-ordered requirements.

It’s worth noting that the Grammy-winning rapper’s trial has been one of the longest in Georgia’s history.
