Director Planning Board of Internal Revenue Service presenting letter of appreciation to the Vice chancellor Yobe Varsity.
DAMATURU – The Yobe State Inland Revenue Service has commended Yobe State University (YSU) for its prompt payment of taxes.
The commendation was made during an appreciation visit to the Vice-Chancellor’s Office at the university.
Professor Bukar Jamri, Acting Vice-Chancellor of YSU, emphasized the importance of tax payment, urging Nigerians to consider it an act of patriotism.
He explained that tax revenue is utilized to improve and maintain public infrastructure, roads, public services, schools, emergency services, and other welfare programs.
The University has demonstrated its commitment to responsible tax payment, and Prof. Jamri assured the visiting team that YSU will maintain its prompt payment record.
Leading the delegation from the Yobe State Inland Revenue Service was Director of Planning, Yahaya Hassan. He acknowledged YSU’s exemplary tax compliance and encouraged continued payment from authorities.
The visit aimed to promote enlightenment on the importance of tax payment and appreciation for institutions like YSU that demonstrate a strong commitment to tax responsibility.
