DAMATURU – A training workshop was held in Yobe State, with the aim of empowering Information Officers across various Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs), Local Government Areas (LGAs), and media organizations.
The workshop, which was attended by distinguished guests, including the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Information, Culture, and Home Affairs, Mr. Bala Muhammad Bukar, and the Executive Director of the Yobe State Council for Art and Culture, focused on building the capacity of Information Officers to effectively discharge their duties.
In his opening remarks, Alhaji Muhammad Gidado Abubakar, Permanent Secretary, Yobe State Service Commission/Local Government Services Commission, emphasized the importance of equipping Information Officers with the necessary skills to succeed in their roles. He expressed his appreciation to His Excellency, Hon. Mai Mala Buni, CON, Executive Governor of Yobe State, for his continuous support and dedication to the growth and development of Yobe State.
The workshop is expected to provide a platform for Information Officers to enhance their knowledge and skills, particularly in the areas of information dissemination and management. It is also aimed at promoting effective communication and collaboration among stakeholders in the state.
With the successful completion of this workshop, Yobe State is poised to take a significant step forward in enhancing the capacity of its Information Officers, and ultimately, in promoting effective governance and development in the state.
