The Executive Chairman of the Yobe State Independent Electoral Commission Dr. Muhammad Mamman, has passed away.
Mamman died after a brief illness at Yobe State Teaching Hospital leaving behind 33 children and 3 wives.
Confirming the death, one of his sons, Amir Muhammad, said his father passed away after a brief illness.

“He leaves behind three wives, 33 children and grandchildren, we have really missed him.”
“He died at Yobe State Teaching Hospital, Damaturu and he will be buried today by 11: am,” he said.
He said the burial of the deceased was scheduled to hold today at Central Masjid, His Royal Highness Emir of Fika’s Palace, Potiskum, Yobe State, by 11am.
The deceased who was a trained medical doctor, served as the Executive Secretary of the Yobe State Hospital Management Board during the administration of Governor Ibrahim Geidam.
He was appointed Chairman of Yobe SIEC twice by Governor Mai Mala Buni and was serving his last tenure until his death.
Mamma held the title of Chief medical officer of Fika Emirate, before he was upgraded to the Shamakin Fika.
