Fluminense defender Thiago Silva has announced his readiness to play for Brazil if he’s called upon by the senior national team coach Carlo Ancelotti.

Silva, who turned 41 in September, has not played for the Selecao since 2022.

However, in a chat with Premiere, the former Chelsea defender has hopes of making next year’s World Cup.

“I am at Carlo Ancelotti’s disposal.

“If he wants to call me, I’ll be happy to come. And if he doesn’t call me, life goes on. But of course, another World Cup would be exceptional.

“Knowing that my contract with Fluminense ends at the end of the competition… Imagine if I end my career by winning the World Cup! It would be a wonderful ending.”p
