The m$rder trial of a Florida woman who is accused of locking her boyfriend in a suitcase where he suffocated is about to begin next week.At a pre-trial hearing on Wednesday, 46-year-old Sarah Boone requested to have her hair and makeup professionally done during her trial. Her request was denied by the judge. The trial is set to begin nearly four years since a booze-addled game of hide-and-seek resulted in the death of 42-year-old Jorge Torres. The couple were reportedly playing a game of hide-and-seek when they together, decided to have Boone zip up Torres inside a blue suitcase. Boone claims when she zipped him up that she left two of his fingers still sticking out."Sarah freaked out and remembered the last time she saw Jorge was when she zipped him in the suitcase," according to the arrest document. Boone then unzipped the suitcase, where she found Torres unresponsive. She said on Wednesday during her hearing that she was "very confused, very hazy" from the night drinking after police found Torres' body, according to CourtTV.  "I didn't understand the monumental amount of people that were [at the crime scene] and what they were doing. I was worried about my dogs, I was worried about my son, I was in shock," Boone said.Boone's attorney during Wednesday's hearing tried to suppress some of the prosecution's key evidence including the interrogation footage as it contradicts her claim that she was acting in self-defence.Her attorney James Owens argued that she was coerced into speaking with police and was not read her Miranda rights properly. Owens' attorneys claim that Boone was suffering from battered spouse syndrome and that Torres had a history of domestic violence against Boone which included a battery charge from 2018.The judge in her case said he would rule on whether to suppress the interrogation video by the end of Thursday.Boone's trial is set to begin next week on Oct. 7 and if convicted of second-degree murder she could face a life sentence. The post Woman requests to have hair and makeup done professionally for her mu$der trial after she suffocated her boyfriend in suitcase during hide-and-seek game appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
