Woman ‘inserts’ stick in 12-year-old’s private part over biscuits’ theft

The police in Ogun State have arrested a woman, Temitope Adetanju, for allegedly inserting a stick into a 12-year-old girl’s vagina.

The incident occurred at Isewo, Obada Oko, Ewekoro Local Government Area of Ogun State.

The minor was accused of stealing biscuits of N200, Milo N150 and Mr Fruit N300. As a result, the 25-year-old guardian allegedly subjected the minor to severe physical torture including the insertion of the stick into her private part.

The police spokesman in the state, Omolola Odutola, confirmed the incident, which she said occurred on Thursday.

She said the suspect was arrested by Divisional Police Officer in Obada-Oko having received a report on the incident.

“On 13th June 2024, one Temitope Adetanju, a 25-year-old woman was arrested by DPO Obada Oko in Ogun State for inserting a sizeable firewood into the private part of a 12-year-old for stealing biscuit N200, Milo N150 and Mr Fruit N300,” she said. 

Odutola said the suspect admitted to having committed the crime.
