Wolverhampton Wanderers have dismissed manager Vitor Pereira following their 3-0 defeat to Fulham, which extended the club’s winless run since the start of the Premier League season.
Pereira, who took charge last December and signed a new three-year contract in September, leaves Wolves bottom of the table with eight defeats and just two points from 10 matches.
Dismal run forces board’s decision
Despite early hopes that Pereira’s renewal would bring stability, his side have struggled to produce results or consistency.
Wolves’ only points came from 1-1 draws against Brighton and Tottenham, the latter spoiled by Joao Palhinha’s 94th-minute equaliser.

Club executives at Molineux reportedly lost patience after the latest setback at Craven Cottage, where the team once again failed to register a goal.
Search begins for new leadership
Among the frontrunners to replace Pereira are former Manchester United managers Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Erik ten Hag, as well as Brendan Rodgers and Coventry boss Frank Lampard.
The club is expected to make an interim appointment before their next league fixture as they fight to avoid being cut adrift in the relegation zone.
