Wizkid’s eldest son, Boluwatife Balogun, is stepping into the spotlight with his debut rap single titled “Champions Arrival.”

The 14-year-old, who now goes by 

the stage name Champz, shared a studio freestyle clip on Saturday that quickly went viral across social media. The snippet featured confident lyrics about dominance, self-belief, and ignoring detractors a bold statement from the young artist stepping into Nigeria’s dynamic music scene.

To mark his entry into music, Boluwatife rebranded his Instagram handle to @champz, signalling a new artistic identity. Within hours, the teaser drew more than 160,000 engagements on X (formerly Twitter), with fans praising his lyrical flow, composure, and early promise. Many also noted the striking resemblance between his delivery and his father’s effortless charisma.

While Wizkid has yet to make a public comment, sources close to the singer indicates  he is “immensely proud” of his son’s creative direction and early success. The freestyle video reportedly crossed one million views overnight, sparking conversations about legacy, talent, and the next generation of Afrobeats artists.

As anticipation builds, fans await the official release date for “Champions Arrival,” which marks the beginning of a new musical chapter for the Balogun family.
