The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has pledged to extend his focus to the health sector, assuring that no sector in the FCT will be left unattended.
Wike made the statement on Thursday, during the flag-off of the construction of Arterial Road N20 (Solomon Lar Way) from Road N5 (Obafemi Awolowo Way) to the Airport Expressway in Abuja.
Speaking at the event, the minister said his administration’s priority was to touch every critical area of development in the capital city.

“We will make sure every sector is given the attention that is required,” Wike stated.
He also used the occasion to caution youths and residents against extorting contractors handling government projects.
“I want to appeal to our youths and the residents of this area, I sincerely appeal to everybody to support the company and not extort money unnecessarily from them,” he added.
Wike’s declaration comes amid recent agitation by Abuja’s Association of Resident Doctors, who embarked on an indefinite strike over poor working conditions, remuneration, and other demands.
On September 19, the minister revealed that he had signed almost all the requests made by the doctors, a move that prompted them to suspend their industrial action.
Wike reiterated that his administration remains committed to addressing issues across all sectors.
“We will not concentrate on just one area; we will ensure a holistic approach to development in the FCT,” he affirmed.
According to him, only through inclusive attention to health, infrastructure, and welfare can Abuja achieve the standard expected of the nation’s capital.
