Super Eagles striker Kelechi Iheanacho scored his first goal in half a year after coming off the bench on his debut for Celtic, Soccernet.ng reports.
The 28-year-old forward terminated his contract at Sevilla to pen a one-year deal with the Record Scottish Champions and has gotten to a quick start at the Rugby Park.
The former Leicester City man came off the bench with 20 minutes left to play. A VAR check went in Celtic’s favour after the ball deflected off a Kilmarnock defender. Up stepped Iheanacho to dispatch the spot kick with vim and send the crowd wild.

Iheanacho delighted to get off the mark for Celtic
Nothing beats scoring a late winner on a debut, and after a good start to life with the Hoops, the 2013 FIFA U-17 World Cup winner was all smiles.
“I’ll feel really, really good. It’s the last kick of the game, and I got to take it, so I’m really happy,” Iheanacho said in quotes revealed by Celtic Official website.

“I’m happy for the opportunity, and I could see how the fans feel after that goal. It was a really important goal, so I’m happy.
“It’s a great feeling, but at the same time, there’s a lot of pressure as well with the spot-kick.
“I just took it with composure, and we won the three points today, which is massive, and hopefully there are many more to come,” the former Manchester City striker concluded.
Iheanacho will be looking for his first start next weekend when Celtic travels for a League Cup clash against Partick Thistle.
