Two Super Eagles stars, namely Chidera Ejuke and Akor Adams, featured in Sevilla’s 2-1 loss to Espanyol at the RCDE Stadium…
Super Eagles and Sevilla winger Chidera Ejuke has reviewed his side’s performance in their loss to Espanyol, Soccernet.ng reports.
Ejuke’s national compatriot, Akor Adams, secured his fifth league start for Matias Almeyda’s side in Isaac Romero’s absence.
The fleet-footed winger came off the bench in the 34th minute to replace ex-Manchester United Adnan Januzaj, who went down with a muscle problem.

In a surprising turn of events, Sevilla mustered 22 shots on target before finding the back of the net, while Espanyol’s five shots on target yielded two goals.
Akor Adams came under huge scrutiny by the Sevilla fans not just because of his woeful performance in front of goal, but because his poor touch led to Espanyol’s second goal.

Ejuke reflects on Sevilla’s loss
The 27-year-old was bemused at his side’s inability to find the back of the net last night, but was pleased with their overall display.
“We created a lot of chances, as you said. Imagine creating 22 chances, and just one finds the back of the net. It’s a difficult thing to believe,” the ex-Royal Antwerp man said in his post-match presser.
“In general, we played a good game, we had a good game, good momentum.
“We had a lot of possession, we ran well as a team, and we were there for each other. Hopefully, we can build on this and move forward to the next game.

Up next for the Sevilla winger and his teammates is the highly anticipated El Gran Derbi against Real Betis in front of their fans.
“Definitely, we have to look forward. This game is very important for us, and we’re playing at home, so we’ll have to do everything we can to get a win in that game,” the Ex-Hertha Berlin man said ahead of the Betis clash.
“As I said, we have a good momentum, we’re building together as a team, we’ll approach with everything we have, and by God’s grace, we’ll come out on top,” Ejuke concluded.

Sevilla are currently 11th on the La Liga table with 16 points from 13 games.
