Media personality and daughter of popular Nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo, Priscilla Ojo and her newborn son, Rakeem Mkambala, received a grand reception in Tanzania from her husband, singer Juma Jux, after the birth of their first child.
Naija News reports that the Tanzanian star welcomed his wife and son with fresh flowers and gifts at the airport, before escorting them home to an elaborate celebration.
At their residence, Priscilla was treated to a blue-themed welcome party, complete with balloons, framed photos, and a giant banner reading “Welcome Home Mommy and Rakeem.”
A large standee spelling out “RAKEEM” added colour to the festivities.
Reacting, Priscilla’s mother, who joined the family in celebrating, jokingly teased her son-in-law: “Juma, you are so extra. What happened? Rakeem is actually one month old.”
Juma proudly replied, “My son. Yes. My first son.”
A visibly touched Priscilla exclaimed, “Oh my God, Papa Rakeem is extra.”
Iyabo Ojo later admired the gesture, adding: “This is so beautiful.”
Naija News reports that the joyful homecoming comes after a setback for the family, as Juma Jux was denied a Canadian visa and could not be present during his son’s birth in Canada.
Baby Rakeem, however, has since been issued his Canadian passport, officially confirming his citizenship.
The couple documented the celebration on Instagram. Priscilla shared a photo captioned “Home”, while Juma uploaded a short video featuring baby Rakeem alongside Iyabo Ojo.
The clips, which have since gone viral, showed the family basking in the joy of their newest addition.
