A young Nigerian man who relocated to the United Kingdom (UK) has gained widespread attention online after sharing his stunning transformation video.
The viral clip showcased his physical changes before and after leaving Nigeria, sparking discussions on social media.
The man, identified as @theonlyaustin1 on TikTok, uploaded a video comparing his past look in Nigeria to his current appearance abroad.
Before relocating, he had a notably darker complexion, but after settling in the UK, his skin tone appeared visibly lighter.
He also switched up his hairstyle, now sporting dreadlocks, which added to his refreshed look.
Social media users flooded the comment section with mixed reactions. Some admired his glow-up, while others speculated on what could have contributed to the drastic change.
A Nigerian man living in the UK, Julius Onyekwere, weighed in on the matter, attributing the transformation to the cooler climate abroad.
“The weather here isn’t as hot as in Nigeria. Here is quite cool. In fact you can even survive without using sunscreen daily. Unlike in Nigeria where you have to protect yourself from the harsh sun all the time.” he explained.
