As part of efforts to restore public order, trust and confidence, unite and promote peaceful co-existence amongst party members in Delta State, the Delta State Chairman, African Democratic Congress (ADC), Engr. Austine C. Okolie has issued a disclaimer and public petition, alerting the public and security agencies to an unauthorized event being promoted in Asaba, the state capital, for Wednesday, December 10, 2025, by those not known by ADC leadership.
The Daily Independent learnt this from the Delta ADC Leadership in a press release today, being on Monday, December 9, 2025, as co-signed by the Delta ADC State Chairman, Engr. Okolie C. Austine, and the State Secretary, Mr. Yebu Napoleon, as leadership, disclaimed an illegal, unauthorized event tomorrow in Asaba by some fictitious persons tagged: “unveiling” of an ADC Secretariat and reception of certain individuals,

In the release, Delta ADC leadership has stated that “the ADC State Chairman or Executive Committee has not approved such a meeting. The leadership then called on the Nigeria Police, DSS, and other security agencies to stop, investigate the organizers of such events.
The party leadership described the event: Illegal, unauthorized Unveiling of another Party Secretariat as a deliberate attempt to mislead the public, create confusion within the party, and incite possible confrontation among party members, posing a real threat to peace and public order in Asaba.
The Statement by Delta ADC leadership reads in part: “Delta ADC hereby calls on the Delta State Police Command and the Department of State Services (DSS), and other Security agencies to immediately investigate the organizers, stop the illegal activity, and prevent any disturbance of public peace”.
“The public has been advised to disregard the announcement, as ADC Delta State has not signed any such unveiling or reception event”.
‘”Delta ADC party’s leadership has expressed concern over the unauthorized use of the ADC logo and trademark, and has vowed to take necessary actions to protect the party’s interests”.
“Finally, we therefore urge Delta State Police Command, the DSS and other security agencies to take prompt action to prevent any breakdown of law and order in Asaba, Delta State”.
