Two persons, including the daughter of a High Court judge, have been abducted by unknown gunmen in the Maraba Gurgu community, located on the outskirts of Lafia, Nasarawa State.

The incident occurred around 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday and was confirmed in a post shared on Thursday by security analyst Zagazola Makama via his official X account.

According to the report, the armed attackers invaded the residence of the judge and whisked away his daughter, identified as Hauwa Anisa Shikaru, along with one Abdulkarim Ahmed Iliyasu.

Eyewitnesses in the area said the gunmen operated swiftly, catching residents unawares and escaping before security personnel could intervene.

Makama further revealed that a joint search team has been mobilised with the aim of tracking down the abductors and ensuring the safe rescue of the victims.
