A Nigerian woman based in the UK has opened up about her struggles with finding genuine happiness since moving there over a year ago.
In a post shared on the popular social media platform TikTok, the lady, known as jjc6660, shared her experience with her followers.
She revealed that, despite spending a full year in the UK, she has yet to experience true happiness and can only recall a few brief moments of joy during her time there.
“The first time I felt truly happy was when my family visited, and the second was when I was planning a trip back to Nigeria,” she explained.
“Yesterday marked one year since I moved to the UK, and I honestly don’t think I’ve been genuinely happy here. I can actually count how many times I’ve been happy just those two moments.”
She also clarified that her dissatisfaction isn’t rooted in loneliness, noting that she prefers being on her own, even back in Nigeria where she didn’t have many close friends.
However, despite her solitary nature, she continues to feel a sense of unhappiness.
Her candid post has sparked concern among viewers, with many flooding the comments section to offer support and share their own thoughts on her experience.
