Udeh-Okoye Predicts Landslide APC Victory In Enugu

Former National Youth Leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Sunday Udeh-Okoye, has predicted a landslide victory for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Enugu State during the 2027 general election.

Udeh-Okoye made the statement on Tuesday, following the mass defection of PDP members to the ruling APC.

Having recently left the PDP himself, he insisted that the ruling party now has a solid foothold in Enugu.

“In the next election, it will be a landslide for the APC in Enugu,” he declared, stressing the party’s strengthened position in the state.

When asked if APC could secure victory in Enugu even if Peter Obi were on the ballot, Udeh-Okoye confidently stated, “No matter who is on the ballot, APC will win.”

He argued that the party has now taken over the PDP’s structure in the state, making it difficult for opposition movements like Obi’s Obidient campaign to challenge APC’s dominance.

“Those who won elections for the party at that time, we were not in APC. Now all of us are in APC.

“Anybody you like in any political party, I assure you, in Enugu State, APC will win,” he added.

Udeh-Okoye also addressed claims that Southeasterners would not vote for the ruling party, noting that Governor Peter Mbah has delivered on his promises and that the APC has sufficient campaign materials to engage voters.

He explained that past aversions to APC in the region were due to former President Muhammadu Buhari’s alleged disposition toward the Southeast.
