UCL: Man City not good enough – Haaland furious after 2-2 draw with Monaco

Manchester City striker, Erling Haaland, has claimed they were “not good enough” as they were held to a 2-2 draw by Monaco on Wednesday night.

The result saw the Premier League club drop points for the first time in the Champions League this season.

Haaland had opened the scoring for City, before Jordan Teze equalized for the hosts.

City went in front again through Haaland’s header, but Monaco rescued a point thanks to a late Eric Dier penalty.

“Of course it doesn’t feel good, we didn’t win,” Haaland told TNT Sports afterwards.

“We did things unnecessarily in the second half and I don’t think we played good enough, we don’t deserve to win and that’s why.”
