Two die, 15 rescued in Lagos boat crash

Two persons have been confirmed dead and 15 others rescued after a boat crashed at Powerline, Ikoyi Link Bridge on Wednesday, February 21.

The Seventeen passenger boat was heading to Ikorodu when it suddenly caved-in following a lone accident.

Confirming the incident, the Lagos State Waterways Authority (LASWA) in a statement released said the crash was caused by a rise in tide. It said that the rider rammed into a high-tension pole that was flooded by water which led to the capsize of the boat.
