Spiritual director of the famous Revival City, an international prayer retreat and conference Center, Enugu, Bishop Deborah Macfoy Akachukwu, has said the recent threat by the United States president, Donald Trump on possible military action in Nigeria over alleged killings of Christians is a wake-up call on political leaders.
She added that it would end impunity in the country and bring about implosion.
She said: “The time for political leaders to give account for their actions is here.”
Interacting with newsmen weekend in Enugu, Bishop Akachukwu stated that the era of impunity is over in Nigeria, adding that people will no longer go scot-free for their atrocities.
The vision bearer, Revival Army Christian Mission, added that “our leaders must be sensitive to the plights of Nigerians. They should stop ignoring citizens pains. I know the people are really suffering, and I think the most important thing they need now is love to one another. The time has come for people to start doing the right thing.”
She harped on the need for Nigerian leaders to start seeking God’s intervention and wisdom in the face of the numerous challenges facing the nation because wisdom is profitable.
“I see God beginning to expose darkness in Nigeria, people will now begin to know that every evil deed has a consequence. We must embrace God and do his will, because any time we disobey God, we increase our punishment.”
