Trump: Opposition parties undermining Nigeria’s sovereignty – Ex-govenorship candidate

Former governorship candidate from Kebbi state, Mallam Isa Nataro, on Wednesday, said the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and other political parties in the country were undermining the sovereignty of the country.

He also noted that the opposition did not expect the numerous achievements of the government of All Progressives Congress (APC), hence they became scared of his return for a second term in 2027.

In a statement issued in Abuja by the former governorship candidate on Wednesday, “President Bola Tinubu’s initiatives had attracted foreign investments, massive infrastructure development, vocational training for the youth, agricultural intervention and platforms for long term credit facilities to address unemployment.”

He stated that against the wish if the opposition, Tinubu had improved Nigeria’s fragile economy neglected by past PDP governments, adding that it was for this reason the opposition were illegally calling for foreign invasion of the country.

Describing the call as “unwise in a democratic setting”, he noted that such invitation to Donald Trump to help oust a legitimate government  amounted to ‘treason’.

Mallam Nataro, an advocate of public sector reform, said the youth were ready to defend their country, adding “our leader Tinubu will be massively elected for second term by majority of Nigerians irrespective of religion and ethnicity.

“We will never accept foreign interference on our internal affairs”, Nataro said.

He urged PDP chieftains to respect Barrister Nyesom Wike for his past dedication to the party, especially in meeting its financial needs.
