
The Theatre Commander of the Joint Task Force Operation Fansan Yamma, Major General Oluyinka Soyele, has urged troops preparing for operations to prioritise guidance on health insurance schemes for their families.
A statement signed by the coordinator, Joint Media Coordination Centre, Operation FANSAN YAMMA, Lt Col. Abubakar Abdullahi, Thursday said Maj Gen. Olayinka gave the advice during a courtesy visit by the state manager of Defence Health Management Limited, DHML, Colonel Abdullahi Gambo.
He added that the health of both troops and their families is paramount and should not be a distraction during military operations.
He commended Colonel Gambo’s visit for its timely nature, framing it as an essential part of ensuring that soldiers understand the available health care resources and support for their loved ones.
He stated the importance of being well-informed about health insurance options, noting that it contributes to enhanced focus and morale for troops on the ground.
Colonel Gambo confirmed that his visit falls within a broader sensitisation campaign targeting all military formations in Zamfara state.
