Troops Neutralise Boko Haram Terrorists, Destroy Hideouts in Borno Operation



Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have killed several Boko Haram terrorists, destroyed their hideouts in the Bula Daloye area of Borno State, and recovered weapons and explosives during a coordinated offensive on 18 November 2025.

According to intelligence sources monitoring the insurgency, the operation was executed around 1700 hours by personnel of the 21 Special Armoured Battalion working alongside Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) volunteer forces.

Upon reaching the first target location, advancing troops observed terrorists fleeing the area. 

The soldiers pressed forward to a second cluster of camps, covering a three-kilometre radius, where they encountered active terrorist presence at multiple sites.

A fierce exchange of gunfire ensued, resulting in an unspecified number of terrorists neutralized while survivors escaped into the surrounding bush. 

All identified structures and camps used by the terrorists were subsequently razed.One military vehicle triggered an improvised explosive device (IED) during the sweep, lightly injuring two hybrid force members. 

Both were treated on-site by medics and are in stable condition, with no fatalities recorded among Nigerian forces.Weapons and items recovered include:5 AK-47 rifles, 6 magazines 67 rounds of 7.62mm ammunition, 2 motorcycles, 1 locally made Dane gun and 1 bicycle. 

 


An Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team also located and safely detonated four additional IEDs planted in the area.

The operation is the latest in a series of aggressive clearance missions aimed at degrading Boko Haram remnants in the Sambisa Forest axis and denying them freedom of movement ahead of the dry-season campaign.
