Tricycle rider left in coma after assault by task force official over ₦200


A tricycle rider has allegedly been left in a coma after he was assaulted by a task force official in Ajah over ₦200.

This was contained in a post shared on the social media platform X, formerly Twitter.

The post, shared by a user identified as @RafikiAloye, detailed the incident, showing a man believed to be the tricycle rider lying on the ground with a task force official standing beside him.

According to an eyewitness, the tricycle rider fainted and slipped into a coma after he was slapped by the official during an altercation over ₦200.

His statement in part read: “Na that man wey stand na him slap the boy wey e faint for ground so because of ₦200 wey e wan collect. E slap am finish, carry him keke. The boy na tricycle rider.”

As the post circulated online, concerned individuals stormed the comment section to share their thoughts on the incident.
