Spanish LaLiga side Real Betis have confirmed they have withdrawn their bid to sign Manchester United winger Antony, bringing an end to transfer talks.
The club admitted on Friday that the deal collapsed due to financial limitations.
“There is no agreement for Antony and we have withdrawn the offer,” Betis stated. “We can’t afford the fee and the amounts Manchester United still owe the player.”
Transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano also reported that discussions had stalled, with no real progress made before the withdrawal.
