TradeGrid’s Bold Play to Redefine Fuel Access in Africa

Africa’s downstream energy sector continually faces pressure to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and promote sustainable practices. Over the past four years, TradeGrid has helped businesses bridge working capital gaps and streamline procurement.

With a growing range of services, the company improves cash flow and operational continuity across Africa, maintaining a strong presence in key markets like Nigeria and Kenya.

Building on this foundation
The centerpiece of TradeGrid’s offerings is a mobile platform providing customers with fast, easy access to over 20 essential petroleum products. These include Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), Automotive Gas Oil (AGO), Kerosene, Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), and Dual Purpose Kerosene (DPK), among others. This wide product range simplifies procurement, enabling fuel stations and businesses to maintain smooth operations.

Taking the mobile platform a step further
TradeGrid Boost enhances the user experience by providing instant price quotes from top depots and refineries, allowing for faster purchasing decisions without the delays or additional costs caused by intermediaries.

Beyond pricing transparency, Boost features a dynamic rewards program that incentivizes purchases by offering increasing benefits with each transaction, helping customers improve profitability while fostering long-term loyalty.

Complementing Boost’s pricing and rewards benefits
TradeGrid’s initial success was anchored by TradersCard, a flexible credit facility tailored for independent dealers. Dealers can access between 11,000 and 45,000 litres of PMS and AGO on short-term credit, with repayment periods of three to five days. This solution keeps pumps running and operations uninterrupted despite cash flow challenges, while also protecting financiers by securing the product and facility as collateral.

Driving its commitment to sustainability even further
The Company introduced TradeGrid Plus, a subscription service revolutionizing retail stations, by replacing traditional diesel generators and high operational costs with solar power infrastructure. Subscribers benefit from stable, reliable power free from grid volatility, free delivery on all PMS and AGO orders placed through the platform, and access to competitive pricing sourced directly from major depots and refineries.

Pricing ranges from N135,000 to N410,000 per month, making clean energy solutions both accessible and affordable. A specialized variant, TradeGrid Plus Homes, extends these benefits to households and other businesses, broadening the impact of clean energy solutions.

For customers operating on an even larger scale
The company’s latest innovation, Terminal One, addresses the needs of large-scale petroleum marketers. Designed for bulk orders starting at one million litres per product, Terminal One offers direct access to petroleum supplies through strategic partnerships with competitive and reliable refineries and traders.

“This initiative helps meet the substantial demand of high-volume buyers with immediate, dependable supply, competitive pricing, and fewer intermediaries, solidifying TradeGrid’s position as a trusted partner in large-scale petroleum trade,” said Paul Adeyoyin, CEO of TradeGrid.

Together, these solutions illustrate how TradeGrid continues to evolve by identifying critical market needs and developing tailored offerings. From ensuring liquidity and operational continuity with TradersCard, to fostering sustainability through TradeGrid Plus, rewarding loyalty with Boost, and supporting high-volume trade with Terminal One, the company stands at the forefront of innovation in Africa’s downstream energy sector.

“Now, petroleum marketers and large enterprises are invited to partner with TradeGrid to leverage these innovative digital solutions where every transaction fuels growth and progress,” Mary-Anne Okereke, TradeGrid’s Senior Manager said.
