Tottenham extended their impressive record against Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City with a 2-0 win at the Etihad on Saturday.

First-half goals from Brennan Johnson and Joao Palinha sealed the victory, handing Spurs back-to-back wins to start the new season after last weekend’s 3-0 victory over Burnley.

The north London side are now unbeaten in their last three visits to the Etihad and have lost only three of their last ten encounters with City, making them one of Guardiola’s toughest opponents in English football.

For City, it was another frustrating afternoon, with goalkeeper James Trafford enduring a difficult outing.
