Tottenham hammered West Ham 3-0 in their London derby clash after producing a dominant second-half display.

The breakthrough came just after the restart when Pape Matar Sarr headed home from a Xavi Simons corner.

Simons marked his debut as new Spurs player is an assist, picking out Sarr in a clustered box.

Soucek sees red as Spurs take control

West Ham’s troubles worsened minutes later as Tomas Soucek was sent off for a reckless challenge on Joao Palhinha.

Spurs capitalise on the free-kick quickly, with Lucas Bergvall’s looping header doubling their lead.

The misery continued for Graham Potter’s side when Micky van de Ven calmly slotted in a third, sealing the win.

Once Tottenham found their footing, they barely had to leave second gear, comfortably seeing off their ten-man hosts.

West Ham boss Graham Potter, now faces an uphill task, having won just one game out of four this season.

The recurring poor results leave his team languishing 18 in the league table, although the season is only just taking shape.
