Naija News reports that Sule made the remarks on Monday at the 2025 Northern Nigeria Investment and Industrialisation Summit held in Abuja.
The governor noted that monthly allocations to the three tiers of government had quadrupled under the reforms of President Bola Tinubu, compared to what was available a few years ago.
It is worth noting that the Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) had earlier announced that ₦2.22 trillion was shared among the three tiers of government in August 2025, out of a gross total of ₦3.63 trillion.
Sule challenged northern governors to channel the revenue windfall into economic transformation and security of their states.

Recall that the Department of State Services (DSS), in the suit marked: FHC/ABJ/CS/937/2025, contended that the move by Utomi was intended to create chaos and destabilise the country.
The DSS is of the view that, not only is the planned shadow government an aberration, it constitutes a grave attack on the Constitution and a threat to the democratically elected government that is currently in place.
It expressed concern that such a structure, styled as a ‘shadow government,’ if left unchecked, may incite political unrest, cause intergroup tensions, and embolden other unlawful actors or separatist entities to replicate similar parallel arrangements, all of which pose a grave threat to national security.”

Naija News reports that Mrs Tinubu made the disclosure in her new 52-page memoir, The Journey of Grace: Giving Thanks in All Things, released to mark her 65th birthday.

South Africa’s hopes of returning to the FIFA World Cup have taken a heavy blow after the world football governing body stripped the team of a qualifying victory for fielding an ineligible player.
FIFA announced on Monday, September 29, that the 2-0 win over Lesotho in March has been overturned and awarded as a 3-0 victory to Lesotho.
The ruling pushes South Africa off the top of their group, leaving Benin in first place and handing Nigeria fresh hope with just two rounds of qualifiers left.
FIFA also confirmed that SAFA has been fined CHF 10,000, while Mokoena has received a warning.
The governing body added that SAFA has ten days to request a motivated decision, which could then be appealed.
The administrative error is particularly embarrassing as Patrice Motsepe, South Africa’s top football official, is both a FIFA vice president and president of the Confederation of African Football. Motsepe also owns Mamelodi Sundowns, Mokoena’s club side.
South Africa must now win against Zimbabwe on October 10 and Rwanda on October 14 to keep their qualifying hopes alive.
Benin faces Rwanda before travelling to Nigeria, while the Super Eagles will also meet Lesotho.
Only the group winner will qualify automatically for the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Canada, and Mexico, while the runner-up heads to the African playoffs.
Kwara United have apologised to their supporters after bowing out of the CAF Confederation Cup at the preliminary stage.
Kwara United suffered a 1-0 defeat to Ghana’s Asante Kotoko in the return leg played at the MKO Abiola Sports Arena in Abeokuta on Sunday.

Club chairman, Kumbi Titiloye, described the result as painful and assured fans that the team would regroup for the domestic season.
Meanwhile, Nigeria’s other continental campaigners, Rivers United, advanced to the next round of the CAF Champions League after edging FS Les Aigles of the Democratic Republic of Congo.
