Top European Scouts Storm Ijebu-Ode As Best Talent FC Organises Mega Scouting Programme

The city of Ijebu Ode, Ogun State, will witness top European scouts and club representatives in search of talents discovery in Nigeria as Best Talent Football Club organises a mega scouting programme.

It would be recalled that similar programmes was held at the University of Ibadan Sports Complex last year by Best Talent FC in conjunction with Shino Sports Management where good number of players were spotted, nurtured and transported to Europe in badges for career prospects.

This programme, according to the organisers, will hold at Dipo Dina International Stadium, Ijebu Ode, Ogun State and top agents and club representatives from Italy are in Nigeria to monitor the five-day sporting activities which will start on Tuesday 4th and run to Saturday 8th March, 2025 .

The organisers of the mega Football Scouting Tournament have confirmed that top football scouts from Italy and other European countries have already arrived Ogun State in search of talents.

“The scouts are in Nigeria to monitor the scouting exercise tagged, ‘Best Talent Scouting Programe, and will start on Tuesday, 4th and runs to 8th of March, 2025 at Dipo Dina International Stadium, Ijebu Ode, Ogun State,” the organisers said.

Twelve teams are billed to participate in the scouting tournament and the participating teams are: Best Talent Football Club, Ikosi FC, Adamimogo FC, Dominion Hotspur, Victory FC, and Utility Sports FC.

Others are Obas FC, Hephzibah SC, K ZeeZ FC, Seamorow FC, D Shack FA, and Utmost FC.

The fixtures have pitched Best Talent FC against Ikosi FC in the opening match, while Adamimogo will lock horns against Dominion Hotspur. The third match will be between Victory FC and Utility Sports FC and it’s going to be Obas FC against Hephzibah before K Zeez FA settle score with Seamorow while the Shack FA will engage Utmost FC in the much anticipated tournament.

Coordinator of the scouting Program, Sikiru Ibrahim, said the invited clubs are mostly youth teams in Nigeria who play competitive football, as well as third-division clubs.

In his words: “The invited clubs are clubs within the network of the Best Talent Football Club and have enjoyed cordial relationships over the years. They are primarily third-division clubs as well as standard youth teams across the country with evidence of competitive football.”

Engaging sporting media on why they are organising the scouting program, General Manager of Best Talent Football Club of Mowe said the programme is organised to give realistic opportunities to talented players in Nigeria for future prospects.

“We have organis weed similar programmes in Ibadan last year and the overwhelming results propelled us to do more here in Ogun State. This event is organised to give realistic opportunities to talented and budding players and their teams alike to launch their a transitioning to Europe.

“Also, the benefit for clubs is an opportunity to showcase their talents to top European teams in attendance, and for the players, it’s an opportunity to showcase their innate skills and talents with the hope of getting scouted to play in Europe.

“We have in attendance the head of youth clubs in Europe, top agents and club representatives across Europe.”
