Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage has finally spoken out about her long-running feud with fellow artist Seyi Shay, clarifying the events behind the viral salon confrontation that made headlines years ago.
In a recent interview on the Off Air with Gbemi O and Toolz podcast, Savage said the conflict began after a diss track and circulating rumours that she had allegedly blocked career opportunities for other female artistes in the industry.
She firmly denied the allegations, insisting that she has always supported women in music and would never hinder another artist’s progress.
“If you do something to me, I’ll tell you directly, not online. I’m not going to pretend we’re cool when you did a whole diss track about me,” Savage explained.
The singer also shared how the claims that she had “blocked bags” for Seyi Shay and Victoria Kimani were both painful and confusing.
“That was painful, and I didn’t know where it was coming from. Till today, maybe I need to have a conversation with Shay,” she said.
