She disclosed that critics had questioned the album’s potential, cautioning that its sound and absence of A-list featured artists might not resonate with listeners.

The album includes collaborations with a curated lineup of artists, such as Nigerian-born British rapper Skepta, alongside Taves and Flauntleroy.

The tracklist blends uplifting anthems with reflective, introspective moments, including songs such as ’I’m Done’, ‘Angel Dust’, ’You4Me’, ’On The Low’, ‘Holding It Down’, ‘10%’, ‘Twisted’, ’Scared Of Love’, ’Pray No More’, and ‘Addicted’.

Others are ’This One Is Personal’ (Interlude), ’Will I Run Again?’, ‘For One Night’, ‘You’re Not The First (You’re Just The Worst), and ‘Change’.

Since her striking debut, Savage has established herself as one of Africa’s most influential and celebrated music artists, earning international recognition and numerous prestigious awards for her groundbreaking work.

This One Is Personal adds to her acclaimed discography, which also features Once Upon a Time (2013), R.E.D (2015), and Celia (2020).

In July, Savage marked 12 years since her debut album’s release, expressing that she poured her heart into the project and feels proud to have endured in the industry.
