Political strategist and Founding National Secretary of the Alliance for Democracy, Prof. Udenta Udenta, has criticized the prospect of President Bola Tinubu securing a second term.
He described a potential second term as “clueless and incompetent.”
The remarks were made on Tuesday, during an appearance on Arise Television’s Morning Show.

Udenta weighed in on ongoing speculation about former President Goodluck Jonathan possibly contesting the 2027 elections, calling it a significant development in Nigeria’s political arena.
According to him, Jonathan’s potential candidacy represents a formidable challenge to Tinubu and the ruling party, as it could shift the balance of power ahead of the general elections.
He stated, “A spectre haunts the Nigerian political landscape, particularly pronounced within the dominant power bloc.
“The rumour that former President Goodluck Jonathan may run for a second term has sent ripples through the ranks of power brokers.
“ It would be a formidable challenge for President Tinubu and his team to win against former President Jonathan, primarily because Tinubu’s potential second term is likely to be a clueless and incompetent term in office.”
Udenta emphasized that if Jonathan enters the race, it would alter the dynamics of the 2027 elections significantly, forcing the ruling party to reassess its strategies.
