President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is set to travel to Owerri, Imo State, on Tuesday, September 30, to commission a series of landmark projects completed by Governor Hope Uzodimma.
According to a statement released by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President will also serve as a special guest at the unveiling of a book authored by Governor Uzodimma.
The statement read:
“President Bola Tinubu will today pay a working visit to Owerri, Imo State, where he will commission several legacy projects by Governor Hope Uzodimma and launch a book authored by the Governor.

“These projects include the Imo Concorde Hilton Hotel, the Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu International Conference Centre, the Asumpta Flyover, and the state-of-the-art Imo Digital Learning Centre.
“Together, these projects underscore the shared commitment of the Federal and State Government to infrastructure renewal, modernisation, and sustainable development.”
The Presidency also lauded Governor Uzodimma’s strides in digital transformation and youth empowerment, highlighting initiatives such as the MylmoApp, Imo Digital City, and the SkillUplmo Techosphere remote-work platform.
“Already, more than 40,000 young people have been trained in cutting-edge digital skills, shifting from dependence on handouts to becoming globally competitive wealth creators,” the statement added.
The statement further emphasised the significance of the Orashi Free Trade Zone, which has attracted more than seven oil and gas companies, describing it as a key driver of industrialisation, investment, and job creation in line with President Tinubu’s national development agenda.
“Governor Uzodimma’s unmatched progress in infrastructure, technology, and youth empowerment not only defines his legacy in Imo State but also demonstrates the living impact of the Renewed Hope Agenda,” the Presidency noted.
According to a report by PUNCH, President Tinubu will also participate in the official launch of Governor Uzodimma’s new book titled “A Decade of Impactful Progressive Governance in Nigeria.”
The Presidency described the visit as “a celebration of partnership and progress; proof that Imo State is actively contributing to the national vision of innovation, opportunity, and prosperity for all Nigerians.”
