Veteran Nollywood actor and Labour Party chieftain, Kenneth Okonkwo, has criticised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over his frequent foreign trips.
He claimed the President has spent more time abroad than in Nigeria.
Okonkwo made the remarks on Friday, while speaking during an interview on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily.

He expressed displeasure that despite Nigeria’s mounting challenges, Tinubu continues to vacation overseas.
“The All Progressives Congress, or whatever name it’s called, is now a curse in this country,” Okonkwo said.
“Look at the things going on in Nigeria. Where is your president? Vacation in France.
“People are dying in Zamfara, dying in Katsina. He said he’s going on vacation.”
The actor-turned-politician lamented that Nigeria is facing crises across several sectors, including education, healthcare, and infrastructure.
He pointed to the looming strike threats by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), doctors, and nurses as evidence of instability in the country.
“See our educational system. ASUU is threatening to go on strike. The doctors and nurses are threatening to also go on strike, telling you the instability in healthcare.
“How about the oil sector? NUPENG going on strike,” he stressed.
Okonkwo further lamented the plight of Nigerian children, adding: “A country where the education, the healthcare, and infrastructure are in problem is a country in distress.
“ We have more malnourished children in Nigeria now than in Sudan.”
He concluded by reiterating that leaders of serious nations facing crises hardly leave their countries.
“Most serious presidents with the kind of problems Nigeria has, I don’t see them vacationing in foreign countries,” he said.
