Tinubu To Address Nigerians In Nationwide Broadcast On October 1


President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will address the nation on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, as part of activities marking Nigeria’s 65th Independence anniversary.

The nationwide broadcast is scheduled to go live at 7:00 a.m., according to a statement released on Tuesday by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.

The statement, titled “2025 Independence Anniversary: President Tinubu Addresses The Nation,” urged all television and radio stations, along with other electronic media platforms, to hook up to the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) for the live broadcast.

“All television, radio stations, and other electronic media outlets are urged to join the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority and the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria for the broadcast,” the statement read.

Independence Day addresses have historically provided Nigerian presidents with a platform to reflect on the state of the nation, highlight key achievements, outline policy directions, and reassure citizens of the government’s dedication to national unity and progress.
