The Ogun state chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Youth League has honored the Personal Assistant to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Special Duties, Hon. Kamorudeen Olawale Yusuf, with the Progressive Youth Hero award for his contributions to youth inclusiveness and empowerment since assuming office at the Presidential Villa.

The event also recognized Ogun state Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, Senator Adeola Olamilekan Yayi, and other key officials for their commitment to youth development in the state.

Kamorudeen, who was represented by the coordinator of the City Boy Movement in Ogun state, Dr. Sulaiman Lateef, and Barrister Habeeb White, expressed appreciation for the recognition.

He reaffirmed his dedication to youth empowerment and urged young people to remain hopeful about the current administration’s efforts.

“Kamar will like to appreciate the league for this recognition, and he promises never to relent in his commitment to the youth constituency. I urge the youth not to give up on this administration, as there is light at the end of the tunnel. Our hopes are being renewed under the leadership of President Bola Tinubu,” Dr. Sulaiman stated on his behalf.

He also encouraged youths to take advantage of government initiatives such as the student loan program and the CNG initiative. Speaking on the student loan, he highlighted its benefits, saying, “This groundbreaking program provides interest-free loans with no guarantor or collateral required, and repayments start two years after securing employment. To date, over N20.8 billion has been disbursed to over 200,000 students across tertiary institutions,” he concluded.

The National President of the APC Youth League, Comrade Olamide Lawal, emphasized the importance of investing in young people, noting that they have the energy and innovation to drive national development.

“It is very important that whatever investment we make on young people will reflect in our society. The youth determine the future, and that is why every government must center its policies around them because they have the energy and innovation to drive any agenda,” he said.

Lawal, who also serves as the Special Assistant to Governor Dapo Abiodun on Youth Development, commended President Tinubu and Governor Abiodun for prioritizing youth inclusion in governance.

“We appreciate the president for ensuring young people are part of his administration. The same goes for the Ogun State governor, who has surrounded himself with young minds, paving the way for a brighter future,” he added.

He further urged young people to live exemplary lives, acquire skills, and be mindful of their social media activities.

“My fellow young people, I implore you to live a life that positively impacts others. Today, we are further strengthening youth engagement by launching the ‘Tinubu Loyalty Walk.’ As a leading support group, we are ready to be at the forefront of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s second-term bid.”

Also speaking, the Ogun State Coordinator of the APC Youth League, Comrade Fayomi Yunus, charged youths to remain steadfast, dedicated, and committed to the message of hope that President Tinubu has championed.
