South East leaders to host president
The declaration came ahead of President Tinubu’s scheduled visit to the South East on Tuesday, where he will be received by leaders in Owerri, the Imo state capital.
The president is also expected to commission landmark projects executed by Imo State Governor and Chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum, Senator Hope Uzodinma.
South east group decribes visit as symbolic
Coordinators of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors across the South East – Chief Henry Ikoh (Abia), Chief Okey Ezenwa (Anambra), Barr. Kelechi Igwe (Ebonyi), Barr. George Ogara (Enugu), and Rt. Hon. Opiah Goodluck (Imo) – described the visit as an opportunity for the president to “feel the famed warmth of the South East and witness the massive support of the people of the zone for him and his administration.”
“This visit to the South East Zone is significant, being a major activity to mark the historic anniversary and celebration of the impactful 10 years of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in power, especially in the last two years of President Tinubu in the saddle,” the statement read.
Tinubu praised as nation’s transformer
The group described President Tinubu as “the father of our nation and the transformer of our era,” noting that his policies were inspiring “positive actions among hardworking Nigerians” at home and abroad.
They highlighted that the president’s scheduled commissioning of projects by Governor Uzodinma aligned with the “Renewed Hope Agenda.”

Reiterating their commitment to Tinubu’s re-election bid, the Renewed Hope Ambassadors assured him of overwhelming support in the South East and beyond.
“Indeed, the South East wants to vote massively for President Tinubu in 2027 to sit at the front of the table in the equitable distribution of resources and infrastructure,” they declared.
“The Renewed Hope Ambassadors, therefore, reassure President Tinubu of the love, loyalty, and support of the overwhelming majority of the leaders and people of the South East and, of course, Nigerians in the 2027 presidential election.”
They further pledged to continue working under Governor Uzodinma’s leadership to ensure a nationwide landslide victory for Tinubu.
