In a post shared on his official X handle on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, President Tinubu highlighted Nigeria’s strategic participation in the summit, themed “Co-create innovative solutions with Africa.”
He stressed that the country’s agenda is rooted in unlocking economic potential, expanding opportunities for Nigerian youth, and fostering sustainable development through technology, talent, and trust.
“Nigeria comes with clarity of purpose,” Tinubu stated, noting that the summit serves as a launchpad for lasting development and global partnerships.
The President underscored Nigeria’s commitment to driving green innovation and industrial growth, aiming to cement its role as a leader in West Africa’s vast market.
The TICAD9 summit, hosted in Japan, brings together African leaders, international stakeholders, and development partners to foster collaboration.
