Tinubu Back In Abuja After Working Vacation In France


President Bola Tinubu on Tuesday evening returned to the nation’s capital, Abuja after a working vacation to Paris, France.

The President who departed Abuja on September 4 for a 10-day working vacation in France had to cut short the vacation to return home on Wednesday.

President Tinubu, whose official aircraft, Nigeria Air Force (NAF) 1, touched down at the presidential wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja at 6.50pm, was received by top government officials including President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio; Governor of Nasarawa State, Abdullahi Sule; Chief of Staff to the President, Hon Femi Gbajabiamila, and Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun. 

Meanwhile, President Tinubu has felicitated renowned civil engineer and managing director of Planet Projects Limited, Biidun Otunola, on his appointment as Honorary Lagos Consul of the United Mexican States.

Otunola was conferred with the appointment at the 215th Mexican Independence Day in Abuja on Monday, September 15, 2025.

The President, in a statement issued on Tuesday by his Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, congratulated the prominent transport planner on the well-deserved recognition.

He acknowledged Otunola’s contributions to the development of significant transport infrastructure projects nationwide, particularly in Lagos, Abuja, and Enugu, as well as his efforts to strengthen relations with Mexico.

President Tinubu encouraged the engineer to leverage the recognition to enhance relations between Nigeria and Mexico, particularly in trade and investment, allowing citizens to reap long-term benefits.

The President assured Otunola of his support in expanding his interest into other African countries and beyond.
