‘This is injustice’ — Mercy Johnson demands release of Regina Daniels’ brother

Mercy Johnson-Okojie has called for the release of Sammy
Ojeagwu, the elder brother of Regina Daniels, intensifying the drama
surrounding the actress’ marital crisis with her husband Ned Nwoko.

The dispute began after a viral video showed Daniels crying
while accusing Nwoko of domestic violence in October.

In response, Nwoko alleged that the actress was battling
drug and alcohol addiction.

The situation intensified this week when Regina accused
Nwoko of orchestrating the arrest of her brothers.

“Someone pls help me! I feel Like I’m losing my mind. I
never thought I would do this but My big brother and big sister has been
arrested, My baby sister might be arrested soon as well until I return and
according to him, return to rehab,” she said.

Regina also alleged that Nwoko was using their detention to
coerce her into returning to a rehabilitation facility.

Amplifying the family’s distress, Mercy took to her
Instagram story to question the circumstances of Sammy’s arrest.

The Nollywood star described the situation as a “pretended
justice,” lamenting that “he had been held for two days without access to his
family”.

“The worse form of injustice is pretended justice. A child
was arrested, no one can or has been allowed to see him for 2 days,” she wrote.

She further alleged that Sammy was flown from Lagos to Abuja
and was being taken directly to court from the airport, bypassing standard
procedures.

“He was flown from Lagos to Abuja and is allegedly been
taken to court from the airport… How did we get here? Nigeria… Wow.  #whereissamuel#freesamuelojeagwu#,” she
added.

Sammy earlier lamented that he was “invited by police to
report for questioning in Abuja through a WhatsApp message”.
