Thieves Burgle Home Of Vardy, Steal, Watches, Jewellery


Jamie Vardy and his wife Rebekah’s new Italian villa was burgled at the weekend by a group of thieves, it has emerged.

The former Premier League winner and his wife moved to Italy in the summer after Vardy joined Cremonese. But they were burgled while he played against AS Roma on Sunday, according to The Mail (via Mirror).

The report adds that three thieves broke into the Vardy’s luxury villa and made off with cash, jewellery and watches.

A police source told the publication: “We think the gang have been watching him and his family and timed the break-in to coincide when he was away in Rome.”

Another police source added: “We have CCTV which shows the individuals entering the house through a window that was left open.

“They were on the premises for several minutes before escaping with the watch and several other high-value items. There was a woman inside, not his wife but the babysitter.”

Vardy and his family relocated to the historic city of Salo in the summer, with their £2million luxury home overlooking the Lake Garda in northern Italy.

The former England striker, 37, signed for Cremonese after leaving Leicester City as a free agent following their relegation from the Premier League.
