By Ali Itodo,
My heart aches as I pen these words, describing the utter neglect and decay of LEA Primary School Imane and Roman Catholic Missionary School (RCM) Imane. These once-noble institutions have been reduced to a state of despair, where reptiles claim ownership of classrooms and students are left to suffer. The compounds have transformed into a wilderness, an “evil forest” where no one dares to tread.

The Agony of Failure
– Headmasters: How could you let this happen? Your leadership has failed miserably. If your school turns into a jungle under your watch, it screams incompetence.
– Teachers: Where is your conscience? Collecting salaries without teaching is a betrayal of the trust placed in you. Your absence has contributed to the collapse of these schools.
– Education Secretary: Sir, where are you? The state of these schools is a reflection of your failure. If Imane’s schools are in this condition, what about the others under your supervision?
– Local Government Chairman: Hon. Williams, how do you sleep at night? Your visits to Imane should fill you with shame, not pride.

A Plea for Help
– Philanthropists and Ex-Students: Please, don’t turn a blind eye! These schools are like mothers who have nurtured many successful individuals. It’s time to repay that debt by helping to restore them.
– KGSUBEB: Wake up from your slumber! Take concrete actions to salvage the future of our children.
– Local Government Education Secretary: Do your job! Oversee these schools and ensure they meet basic standards.
– Local Government Chairman: Show that you care! Allocate resources to improve infrastructure and teacher welfare.
– Teachers and Headteachers: Those shirking their responsibilities should be held accountable. Redeployment is the least of their worries.

The Time for Action is Now
The situation is dire, but it’s not too late. We can still save these schools and our children. Let’s join hands to revitalize LEA Primary School Imane and RCM Imane. The future of our society depends on it.
