Eniola Badmus, the Nigerian actress, has come under heavy
criticism after claiming she delivered a speech at the 2025 United Nations
General Assembly (UNGA) in New York.

The high-level UN event took place between September 9 and
28.

In a post on her Instagram page, Badmus said she spoke on
“innovation, gender inclusion and partnerships for a sustainable energy
future”.

The actress also shared several photos of herself standing
at a podium flanked by the UN and Nigerian flags.

“Grateful to speak at #UNGA on innovation, gender inclusion
& partnerships for a sustainable energy future,” she wrote.

“I’m also grateful to have attended the Future Africa Forum
2025 at The Africa Center, powered by Afreximbank’s Global Africa Gateway.

“It was an incredible opportunity to connect, share, and
learn alongside brilliant young leaders who are shaping the future of our
continent.

“The conversations, collaborations, and networks built here
are priceless, and I look forward to seeing how these connections spark new
possibilities for Africa’s growth and transformation.”
