Afrobeats superstar Tiwa Savage has sparked fresh debate in the industry by challenging the traditional “Big 3” label, which typically recognizes Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy.
In a recent interview, posted on YouTube on Wednesday, Savage argued that it’s unfair to exclude Tems from such discussions, given her remarkable accomplishments, including a Grammy Award and a spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Tems has also worked with several prominent international artists and played a key role in bringing Afrobeats to a global audience.
“I also feel like it’s unfair to have that conversation about the Big 3 and not mention someone like Tems,” Tiwa said, calmly making her point while seated in a black leather jacket during the chat.
