The Taraba State Chapter of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), has constituted a Electoral and Congress Planning committees ahead of the planned State Elective Congress.
Prince Gara Nongha, Chairman NYCN, Taraba State Chapter disclose this on Monday Evening after the Executive Meeting of the Council.
In a statement made available to the Press, Nongha wrote that “on Monday, 15 September 2025, the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) Taraba State Chapter has in line with the constitution held a Management meeting in preparation of it state elective congress.
“The Congress Committees that were set up at the meeting are Election and Congress Planning Committees each with Five (5) members, Three (3) of each nominated by members of the Management meeting drawn from each of the Three Senatorial zones of the State.
“Meanwhile, the remaining Two members of the Electoral Committee, One is sent by the National body to serve as the Returning Officer (RO) and the other One (1) is sent from Taraba State Youth Development Agency.
“The committees were inaugurated immediately to start their duties and formation of the State Congress within stipulated time.
“Members of the Voluntary Youth Organisations (VYOs) affiliated to the NYCN such as Nigerian Red Cross Society, Boys Scout, Boys Brigade, Girls Guide, Man O’ War, Peace Corp, JNI, Catholic Cadet, Catholic Youth, Rural Youth Network, Royal Ambassadors, Fitianoh Islam, MSSN, Wai Brigade, Young Farmers JIBWIS among others were also part of the meeting”.
