Former media aide to the late ex-President Muhammadu Buhari,
Bashir Ahmad, has said the Governor of Taraba State, Agbu Kefas, is the next to
join the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Ahmad said after Kefas joins the APC, a governor from a
state in the North-West will join the ruling party before the end of 2025.
He made the claim while reacting to Enugu Governor Peter
Mbah’s defection to the APC.
Mbah, who officially joined the APC on Tuesday, said he left
the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, because his people’s voice was not
recognized in the party.
Mbah disclosed this during a broadcast to the Enugu people.
The governor left the PDP alongside his immediate
predecessor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, as well as state and federal lawmakers, among
others.
Reacting, Ahmad posted on X: “Enugu State is now
secured—Taraba State will be next on board, followed by a state in the
North-West before the year ends.”
