The President of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Comrade Isaiah Benjamin has commended SWAN chapters across the country for their successful Jumat and church prayers and services ahead of the organisation’s diamond jubilee/60th anniversary celebration.

A statement signed by the Chairman media/ publicity committee Chimezie Anaso and Secretary Hembadoon Orsar, quoted the President as expressing delight with the way the chapters had come together to pray and seek God’s guidance for the upcoming jubilee.

Comrade Benjamin noted that the association’s commitment to spiritual growth and development had been evident in the prompt and successful organisation of the Jumat and church services prayers for the success of the anniversary.

He commended the chapters for their dedication and hard work, saying that their efforts had not gone unnoticed.

The SWAN President also used the opportunity to urge the chapters to continue to work together in unity and peace, saying that the association’s strength lay in its diversity and commitment to excellence.

He charged the both the national and states excos to remain focused and committed to the association’s goals and objectives, assuring them that their efforts would yield positive results.

“I want to on behalf of the national officials expressed our gratitudes to the spiritual leaders who had supported the association’s efforts, saying that their prayers and guidance had been instrumental in the association’s success”

“We also thank all members of the association for their cooperation and support, your collective efforts had made the Jumat and church services a huge success”
